A substantial natural topaz crystal from Minas Gerais, Brazil, displaying a transparent to translucent, near-colorless body with subtle internal inclusions and warm iron-stained areas that add character to the specimen.
The complex crystal shows the elongated prismatic form characteristic of topaz, with prominent longitudinal striations. Actually two crystals, the specimen has a smaller crystal emanating from the end of larger one and both are fully terminated with sharp faces. Its clarity allows internal fractures, inclusions, and growth features to remain visible, giving the specimen considerable visual interest.
Minas Gerais is one of the world's classic sources for topaz and has produced exceptional crystals in a wide range of colors and sizes.
