Collection: Allan Ingelson Collection

Another well-known and published Calgary mineral collector, Allan Ingelson, has been gracious enough to sell some of his collection with Rocky Mountain Minerals & Fossils. Allan is an expert in many fields - including environmental law - but it is his contribution to western Canadian minerals that deserves special recognition. Allan, along with the late Mike Evick, were instrumental in assembling the gem and mineral collection at the Glenbow Museum here in Calgary. Many of the minerals within the museum's collection were field-collected by Allan (and Mike) at many famous western Canadian mines and mineral localities. Like our other close friend, Mike Menzies, Allan is a serious field collector and we will be offering many fruits of his labour, having never been offered for sale previously. This will include a world class selection of edingtonites and natrolite crystals from the Ice River Alkaline Complex near Golden, British Columbia and pyromorphites from the Society Girl Mine near Moyie, also in British Columbia.
