About Our Company

Rocky Mountain Minerals & Fossils is a mineral and fossil dealership based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Founded in 2022 by geologist Keith Mychaluk, with support from family, friends and colleagues, we offer mineral specimens, crystals and fossils for collectors and institutions, featuring material from Canadian and worldwide localities.

Our mineral inventory ranges from well-known collector favorites such as fluorite, quartz and tourmaline to unusual and less frequently offered species from classic and emerging localities. We select specimens for crystal quality, aesthetics, locality, rarity and provenance, with detailed locality and specimen information provided whenever available.

We source specimens through mineral shows, miners, private collectors and established collections, as well as through our own field collecting when opportunities permit. We regularly acquire individual specimens and complete collections, allowing us to offer material with interesting provenance and collecting histories alongside newly sourced specimens.

Rocky Mountain Minerals & Fossils also works as a vendor and evaluator of premium minerals and fossils for collectors and institutions. We purchase and consign mineral collections and are happy to discuss individual specimens or complete collections with owners who may be considering selling.

In addition to our online store, we showcase our inventory at several Western Canadian mineral shows throughout the year. Our close friend and mentor, Rob Belcher of The Aesthetics Underground in Banff, Alberta, has retired from the trade, and we are now pleased to represent Rob’s exceptional inventory as well.
