A substantial topaz crystal from Katlang, Mardan District, Pakistan, displaying a pale champagne to near-colorless appearance with good translucency and bright vitreous luster. I like the internal fractures which add a lot of visual interest (and likely saved it from the gem cutter's saw!).
Weighing 44 g and standing 6.3 cm tall, this is an impressive single crystal for its size. Its substantial crystal form, water-clear clarity and well-known Pakistani locality make it a strong choice for collectors of topaz and gem-mineral specimens. Mounted on an acrylic stand.
