This attractive siderite specimen comes from the historic Morro Velho Mine in Nova Lima, Minas Gerais, Brazil. It features a dense cluster of well-developed siderite crystals displaying warm golden-brown to olive-brown tones and a vitreous to pearly luster. The overlapping crystals create a highly textured, three-dimensional specimen with plenty of visual interest from different angles. I really like the "gemmy" look to these crystals.
A distinctive Brazilian siderite specimen combining attractive crystal development, rich earthy coloration, and documented collection provenance.
