This attractive specimen features an abundant cluster of lustrous golden-brown siderite crystals. The intergrown crystals display pronounced surface striations and flashes of golden metallic luster as the specimen is viewed from different angles.
The specimen comes from the historic Morro Velho Mine near Nova Lima, Minas Gerais, Brazil, best known for its exceptionally long (and perhaps notorious) history as a gold-producing mine.
