Although there is no shortage of malachite specimens from DR Congo, I find they are often dull and lack quality and character. This cabinet-sized specimen, though, is a true conversation piece. Not only is the malachite in an intriguing botryoidal form but shimmers even in low light. Flipping the piece over reveals a hollow interior yet the specimen is surprisingly heavy. If you are looking for a large malachite specimen, this one commands a presence.
