A dramatic hübnerite on quartz specimen from the renowned Pasto Bueno locality, Pallasca Province, Ancash, Peru. Dark, elongated blades of hübnerite extend prominently through a cluster of contrasting clear-to-milky quartz crystals, creating an exceptionally strong visual composition.

The hübnerite shows a dark brown-black appearance with submetallic to adamantine luster and pronounced longitudinal striations. Surrounding quartz crystals range from smaller transparent points to substantial, well-developed crystals that give the specimen impressive height and dimensionality.

The contrast is what makes this piece particularly appealing: dark, sharply defined hübnerite blades framed by bright quartz create the kind of dramatic mineral association that immediately draws the eye in a display cabinet. Combined with its classic Peruvian locality, it makes an attractive example for collectors of tungsten minerals, quartz associations, or South American minerals.
