A vibrant fluorite specimen from the renowned Xianghualing Mine in Hunan Province, China. This piece is covered with densely packed, lustrous cubic fluorite crystals displaying a rich purple coloration that ranges from deep violet to lighter lavender tones across the specimen. At first glance I thought this was an amethyst specimen!
The Xianghualing Mine is famous among mineral collectors for producing exceptionally colorful fluorite specimens with sharp crystal development and brilliant luster. The numerous intergrown cubic crystals create a sparkling surface that catches the light beautifully from every angle, making this an attractive display piece for both beginning and advanced collectors.
The specimen exhibits excellent color saturation, strong visual impact, and the classic cubic crystal habit for which fluorite is prized. Its combination of aesthetics, locality, and crystal quality makes it a fine representative of one of China's best-known fluorite-producing districts.
