A vibrant fluorite specimen from the Xianghualing Mine in Hunan Province, China, richly covered with densely intergrown cubic crystals. The fluorite displays striking purple coloration ranging from deep violet to lighter lavender, creating attractive variation across the display face.
The individual crystals are sharply developed with bright, lustrous faces that reflect the light beautifully. Their dense arrangement produces a highly textured, sparkling surface, while the pale matrix around the edges provides an effective contrast to the saturated purple fluorite.
The Xianghualing mining district is renowned for producing exceptional fluorite specimens in a variety of colours and crystal habits. With its rich colour, strong lustre and extensive crystal coverage, this is an excellent representative example from this important Chinese locality.
