This specimen pairs vivid yellow-green Brazilianite crystals with contrasting white albite from Linópolis, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
The Brazilianite occurs as elongated prismatic crystals with vitreous luster and the characteristic chartreuse to greenish-yellow coloration of the species. The surrounding pale albite matrix provides an attractive contrast that makes the color and crystal form particularly noticeable.
Brazilianite is a relatively uncommon phosphate mineral best known from the granitic pegmatites of Minas Gerais. Fine Brazilian material is especially sought after for its distinctive yellow to greenish-yellow coloration and well-developed crystals.
