An impressive aquamarine crystal from Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, a region internationally recognized for producing fine gem-quality pegmatite minerals.
This elegant single crystal displays a delicate icy blue coloration, excellent transparency through much of the crystal, and bright vitreous luster. Its tall, slender prismatic form is especially attractive, with well-developed crystal faces leading to a defined termination. A small amount of feldspar matrix remains attached near the base, adding natural context without distracting from the aquamarine itself.
Standing 6.4 cm tall and weighing 22 g, the crystal has excellent display presence while retaining a refined, gemmy appearance. Its combination of clarity, graceful crystal form, attractive pale-blue color and highly collectible Skardu locality makes this a particularly desirable aquamarine specimen.
