Apatite with Pyrite, Panasquiera, Portugal

Multiple hexagonal, greenish apatite crystal liberally scattered on a matrix of pyrite with quartz. Strong yellow response from the apatite crystals when exposed to long wave (365nm) ultraviolet light. There is minor abrasion to a few of the lustrous apatite crystals, but is an attractive display specimen nonetheless. This has been in the collection of Sarah Topham for decades.
