Here is a terrific rhodochrosite stalactite "slice" from Argentina. The mine owners essentially sliced and polished all the stalactites they could collect so finding an intact specimen is quite rare. Most specimens are flat slices whereas this piece is naturally concave on one end. This specimen might be the next best thing to a complete stalactite as this piece is the very end tip of a stalactite! Like the say in the collector car market, try to find another.
