A striking quartz specimen with hematite inclusions from the Goboboseb Mountains, Namibia, featuring a cluster of transparent to lightly smoky quartz crystals containing distinctive red and dark hematite inclusions.
The well-formed quartz crystals display sharp terminations and good vitreous luster, while the internal hematite creates intricate red, feathery patterns accompanied by scattered dark inclusions. Because the hematite is enclosed within the transparent quartz, the specimen has excellent depth and visual interest, with different inclusion patterns becoming visible as it is viewed from different angles.
