An attractive celestite crystal specimen from Meckley’s Quarry, Mandata, Pennsylvania, USA, featuring a prominent pale blue tabular crystal set against a contrasting white crystalline matrix.
The main celestite crystal displays the delicate blue coloration characteristic of the species, with a broad, well-defined crystal form and vitreous luster. Smaller crystals are also present on the matrix, adding additional interest to the specimen. The combination of the large blue crystal and bright white matrix makes this a particularly appealing display piece from a classic Pennsylvania locality.
The late Bill Rouslin obtained this specimen decades ago probably when he resided in Ohio or Rhode Island. This piece is a real cutie!
