Smoky Quartz Scepter, Krystal Tips Mine, Hallelujah Junction, Nevada

Large (hand-size!) smoky quartz scepter. The scepter head is terminated on both ends with a bit of a cathedral habit. The stem is a rich, dark smoky colour with recrystallization evident on the natural break at its end. Some minor knicks on the crystal but mostly natural faces, pitting and cleavages. Minor scattering of mica on the stem. Collected by Mike Menzies (#1905). From the Krystal Tips Mine, Hallelujah Junction, Nevada. Dimensions: 7 x 12 cm
