Smithsonite, El Refugio Mine, Choix, Sinoloa, Mexico

This beautiful, cabinet-sized smithsonite has been hidden away since Benny Fenn first started bringing these to market in the 1990s. Like many Choix pieces, this offering has a botryoidal form with a pleasing pink colour, almost looking like a pink, fluffy cloud. Luster is good with the one side of the specimen showing a contact though. Choix specimens of this size are difficult to come across today.
