Silver in Calcite, Cobalt area, Ontario, Canada

Native silver veins etched from calcite. There is quite a bit of leaf silver in this piece and shows well against the contrasting white calcite matrix. There is evidence of prior coating, (probably in an attempt to prevent the silver from oxidizing), however, the calcite also has a very waxy luster so the coating is not pervasive. I did use acetone to remove a few places where I believe there was some residual coating though. As such, I have priced this specimen accordingly. Ex Garry Kolodinsky collection.
