Silver in Calcite, Bouismas Mine, Bou Azzer, Morocco

Nice silver dendrites that have been prepped from their calcite host by etching with acid. The silver crystals show intricate detail upon closer inspection with magnification but this piece is very nice with the unaided eye. Morocco is now a classic location for quality, natural silver specimens (such as this one) but be wary of imitations. Mounted on an acrylic base. Ex Steve Potvin collection.
