Scheelite and Apatite on Pyrite, Huanzuala Mine, Peru

A fabulous combination piece! Here we have two fluorescent species - scheelite and apatite - on a large pyrite cube along with quartz and chalcopyrite. Apatite is clustered together as white hexagonal crystals often associated with micro quartz.  Stacks of brown, tetragonal scheelite crystals are scattered about. A light spray of chalcopyrite gives the specimen some nice sparkle. All of these species are growing off of massive and crystalized pyrite, including a large cube (>5.5 cm in longest dimension).
