Ruby in Marble, Hunza Valley, Pakistan

Nice ruby crystal protruding from marble. Of course this piece has amazing fluorescence under ultraviolet light but it stands out very nicely without such electron excitement. Good, sharp crystal form (approx 1 cm) on contrasting matrix. Mica, and possibly chondrite (?), also present. From Hunza Valley, Pakistan. Dimensions: 2 cm x 3 cm x 3 cm
