Rhodocrosite, Austria Duvas Mine, Peru

This rhodocrosite specimen shows a jumble of well-crystalized stalactite pieces cemented together with nice pink colouration. A classic specimen from this particular mine in Peru, which is quite attractive in both form and colour. The base of the specimen shows a contact with quartz and massive sphalerite.
