Super cute (and rare) ametrine recently unearthed in the Monashee Range of British Columbia! I picked up a few of these important specimens from my friends at Rock Rush who have been using helicopters to prospect at high altitude near Mount Odin. In one incredible pocket (aptly named the Rock Rush Pocket), they discovered a handful of these reverse-sceptered, naturally-coloured ametrines! The base of the crystal turns smoky is covered in muscovite. Admittedly this piece could use some additional cleaning but the bones are all there. There won't be many more like this any time soon. A really special piece. From: Rock Rush Pocket, Mount Odin area, near Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada. Dimensions: 1.5 cm x 3 cm
