Terrific grouping of brassy pyrrhotite crystals, some of which are bending like flowers leaning towards the sun. Galena crystals are embedded into the sides of the pyrrhotite upon closer inspection. One side the specimen is still coated in some sort of iron-rich mud with additional needle-like crystals of quartz (?). I have opted not to clean this any further as I feel it adds to the specimen and its geologic story. This is one of my favourite pyrrhotite crystals I have come across. Ex George Sutherland. From: Potosi Mine, Santa Eulalia, Chihuahua, Mexico. Dimensions: 5 cm x 7 cm
