Parisite & Fluorite, Snowbird Mine, Mineral County Montana

We will be slowly releasing a collection of Snowbird Mine material. This abandoned fluorite mine is home to many rare minerals including gersdorffite, annabergite and the world's best parisite crystals.

Here we have a cute little matrix specimen consisting of a single, nicely-terminated parisite-(Ce) crystal (1 cm tall) protruding from a matrix of ankerite, calcite and purple fluorite. There are a few other broken parisite crystals scattered about as well. The main parisite crystal required stabilization with a minor amount of adhesive.
