Molybdenite, Boss Mountain Mine, Williams Lake, British Columbia, Canada (Ex Prosper J. Williams)

One of my favourite Prosper J. Williams specimens that we acquired from Sarah Topham's old inventory. This terrific radial molybdenite crystal is prominently perched on a matrix of massive quartz. Other molybdenite crystals and masses adorn this piece. Very showy and tough to find. Specimen is accompanied by one of Prosper's old labels. From Boss Mountain Mine, Williams Lake, Caribou District, British Columbia, Canada. Dimensions: 5 x 6.5 cm. The main moly crystal is 2cm long.
