Miargyrite & Gold on Quartz, McLaughlin (Manhattan) Mine, Napa County, California, USA

Hailing from the California gold belt, here we have crystals of mairgyrite, along with native gold, in a small exposed cavity lined with micro-quartz crystals. Mairgyrite (another "ruby silver") is a silver-antimony sulphide similar to pyrargyrite. This miniature specimen has cycled through several well-known collectors with all labels included.
