Imperial Topaz, Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais, Brazil

This topaz has sharp crystal edges and wonderful striations along with the classic "imperial" colour. The crystal is complete with no damage and shows evidence of contact with another crystal on one side of the termination. Inclusions probably saved this beauty (thankfully) from being faceted! There are several topaz localities near Ouro Preto so we only have a generic locality for this one but is likely from Copan. Dimensions: 2 cm x 3 cm
