Grossular (variety Hessonite), Jeffrey Mine, Quebec, Canada

A nice hessonite garnet specimen from the world's best locality for the species in Quebec. This specimen was in the collection of the late Mike Clark who clearly obtained eons ago (based on the $16 price tag!) from mineral dealing icon, the late, Rock Currier (Jewel Tunnel Imports). The crystals on this specimen are somewhat flattened but their luster is fabulous. Most crystals are approximately 0.8 cm. Ex Mike Clark collection. From Jeffrey Mine, Quebec, Canada.
