Gold & Cosalite in Quartz, Caribou Quartz Mine, Wells, British Columbia, Canada

A truly classic British Columbia specimen: cosalite, gold and pyrite in quartz. This is one of the larger specimens we have offered with good coverage of silvery, spindle-like cosalite crystals and some nice visible gold. There is quite a bit of pyrite on one side, with everything embedded in quartz. Some of the quartz is partially crystallized although not into fully developed points. Collected in the 1940s with an older label (circa 1970s-80s?) affixed to the back of the specimen. In the collection of Allan Ingelson for decades. From: Caribou Quartz Mine, near Wells, BC, Canada.
