Galena on Marcasite, Buick Mine (Amax Mine; Moloc Mine), Bixby, Missouri

An attractive specimen of two minerals not commonly seen together in this quality. If you appreciate crystallography, note the contrast between the dodecahedral galena crystals and "botryoidal" marcasite. I further like the dull luster on the galena as it stands out better from the golden flash of the marcasite crystals. All from from a locality along the Viburnum Trend that we typically do not see very often. The reverse side of the specimen is mostly massive galena making this a hefty little piece.
