Fossil Fish (Eurypholis boissieri) & Lobster (Pseudodastacus), Haqil, Lebanon

Very attractive combination of Lebanese fossils. The fish is Euypholis boissieri (a predatory fish) and is very well-preserved with wonderful details of pectoral fins and, very notably, teeth (in 3-D!) along the jaws (see close-up of jaw photos). The lobster (Pseudodastacus) is prepped to showcase its complete pincers and antennae. The matrix has been repaired and filled-in in a few places. Stabilized on the back with fiberglass making this piece very sturdy. Upper Cretaceous, Haqil, Byblos, Lebanon. Dimensions: 21 x 34 cm
