Fossil crab - Potamon potamios, Turkey

Incredible preservation of a Pleistocene-aged freshwater crab within its den. The animal has both pinchers and all legs present. I like how one pincher is tucked in near it's mouth while the other is pointed into the floor of the den, now composed of travertine. Specimen shows attractive colours under UV light. Comes with display case. Dimensions: 8.5 x 9 cm
