Fossil Crab - Potamon potamios, Turkey

These fossil crabs are found in a layer within a travertine quarry in Anatolia, Turkey. This large example has both pinchers and most of it's appendages. The multiple colours of calcite coatings and dustings on this specimen provide additional interest as well as fluorescence under UV light. Comes with display case. Dimensions: 9.5 x 10.5 cm cm
