Fossil Crab - Potamon potamios, Turkey

Freshwater crab from the Pleistocene of Anatolia, Turkey. Amazingly-detailed preservation. The pinchers are present, nicely laid out in front of the animal. Partial legs are attached on one side and disarticulated, but close-by on the other. Resting on top of a bed of grainstone composed of parts of pieces of the crab. Fluoresces under UV light providing additional interest. Comes with display case. Dimensions: 10 x 10.5 cm
