Edingtonite (cabinet-sized), Ice River Alkaline Complex, Near Golden, British Columbia, Canada
Edingtonite is a rare, barium member of the zeolite group and specimens from the Ice River Alkaline Complex near Golden, B.C are known for producing the best-of-the-species. Edingtonite rarely comes on to the market and these are first-class specimens. Collected by Allen Ingelson decades ago in rough, high altitude terrain and offered for sale for the first time.
Our largest edingtonite matrix piece. A hefty specimen of elongate edingtonite crystals filling in-between large calcite crystals. The edingtonites are sharp with excellent terminations, richly covering all sides. A world-class example from the classic locality. As they say in the collector car market: "find me another one"!
