Edingtonite (cabinet-sized), Ice River Alkaline Complex, Near Golden, British Columbia, Canada
Edingtonite is a rare, barium member of the zeolite group and specimens from the Ice River Alkaline Complex near Golden, B.C are known for producing the best-of-the-species. Edingtonite rarely comes on to the market and these are first-class specimens. Collected by Allen Ingelson decades ago in rough, high altitude terrain and offered for sale for the first time.
Another terrific, small cabinet-sized specimen showing cavities densely-filled with 2-3mm sized edingtonite crystals on calcite. An aesthetic piece - for edingtonite - that shows crystals on multiple sides of the specimen. Wonderful to view under magnification.
