Dromaeosaur tooth (3/8"), Hell Creek Formation, Garfield County, Montana

I love finding "raptor" teeth more than large theropod teeth when I go fossil hunting. They are harder to find not only due to their small size, but they are rarer in my opinion. These teeth are so graceful in appearance but were deadly to small prey of the Cretaceous. This is a dromaeosaurid tooth from the Hell Creek Formation that I collected with Jason Phipps on his ranch in July 2023. The tooth is 0.9 cm long x 0.4 cm wide with serrations and wear from usage on the complete tip. SOLD
