Well-defined insect fossils contrasting nicely on paper shale. This specimen has four dragonfly larvae of the species Libellula doris, derived from 16 million year old Miocene sediments. There is a partial leaf fragment on one side of the specimen too. These fossils are collected by a gentlemen, on his private land, in the backcountry of Piedmont, Italy. We are fortunate to have a small selection of these attractive and uncommon fossils. Dimensions: 9.5 x 15 cm (the largest insect is 1 x 1.75 cm)
