No collection is really complete without a Bisbee copper ore specimen. Unlike other mining districts throughout the "Old West", management was quite enlightened at Bisbee who supported the collection and preservation of mineral specimens. This specimen is from a later period of mining at Bisbee (probably the late 1970s) and shows two classic minerals from the locality. Mostly consisting of massive and partially-crystallized red cuprite, the specimen also has contrasting attractive sprays of green malachite.
