Cuprite, calcite & chrysocolla, Mashamba West, Congo

Small open cavity revealing a dark red, sharp and gemmy cuprite crystal surrounded by yellow calcite rhombohedra. Adding additional colour interest is a light coating of bluish-green chrysocolla and red massive cuprite in the matrix. The cuprite crystal is just over 1 cm long, razor sharp with no damage.
