Cretaceous mammal jaw with teeth, Hell Creek Formation, Garfield County, Montana

This mammal fossil is contemporaneous with dinosaurs like tyrannosaurus and triceratops. Having fossil hunted throughout the Upper Cretaceous of both Alberta and Montana for over 40 years, I can confidently say that mammal fossils are incredibly rare. We are offering a rare lower mandible of an unidentified mammal from the Hell Creek Formation collected on the Jason Phipps Ranch, Garfield County, southwest of Jordan, Montana. The jaw contains several teeth. This piece is of excellent quality with no repairs or restoration. Dimensions: 2 cm long x 0.5 cm wide. SOLD
