Copal with insects, Santander, Columbia

The piece of copal not only preserves a fly but it's metallic green colour too! Under minor magnification there is a proboscis protruding from the fly's mouth! There are also ants included in the copal, which is the phase between tree resin and amber. A very interesting piece. Quaternary. From Santander, Columbia. Dimensions: 3 x 5 cm. SOLD
