Campylite is a variety of the lead arsenate mineral mimetite, and the Dry Gill Mine is the classic locality in the UK for this material. Recently, in 2023, the Mineralogical Record published a thorough review of this mineral and locality (see Volume 54, Number 5, Pages 575-615). Our specimen is a nice representative example with a few, small ball-shaped campylite crystals hiding in crevices, along with some massive material, in matrix. Recently obtained from a Calgary collector who acquired the piece while in London decades ago. From Dry Gill Mine, Caldbeck Fell, Cumbria, United Kingdom. Dimensions: 5.5 cm x 5.5 cm
