Okorusu fluorite is easily amongst the most beautiful in the world, with many famous colour combinations discovered over the years. This light green fluorite boasts gemmy and lustrous cubes, with a few displaying colour-zoning. On one side there are large calcite crystals, which turn red upon exposure to long wave ultraviolet light. The fluorite turns a beautiful purple-blue under the same UV light. This is a larger specimen (just over 1 kg) which can be admired by displaying several different ways. There is no damage to the fluorite crystals but one calcite has some contact cleaving. Ex Garry Kolodinsky collection. From: Okorusu Mine, Namibia. Dimensions: 12 cm x 13 cm
