Boltwoodite, Brandberg, Namibia

For those who like radioactive minerals, we have a Namibian boltwoodite, which is formed from the oxidization (weathering) of uranium ores. We have an eye-catching piece showing burnt-orange radiating tufts of boltwoodite within an open cavity in sandstone. Other species may be present but we have not identified them.
