Beryl var Goshenite and Schorl Tourmaline, Erongo, Namibia

Another nice miniature from the Mike Menzies collection. This piece shows an attractive contrast between colourless Goshenite crystals and lustrous black schorl tourmaline. While the Goshenite crystals are sharp with nice terminations, the schorl is naturally etched. Viewed down the c-axis, the Goshenites show zoning with perfectly clear rims and cloudy interiors.
