Azurite, Tsumeb, Namibia (Ex Prosper J. Williams)

Blade-like, gemmy azurite crystals to 0.8 cm scattered on matrix Wonderful colour difficult to capture with my limited photography skills. Show much better in-person. Matrix clearly has additional species; probably calcite, malachite and a manganese (?) mineral and others. I am unsure of the mineral with pinkish cast underlying the azurite. It is crystallized, almost fibrous. This piece is from the inventory of Prosper J. Williams we recently acquired from Sarah Topham in Vancouver. Accompanied by Prosper's label. From Tsumeb, Namibia.
