Azurite, Bisbee, Arizona

A very lustrous, bright blue druse of azurite crystals on matrix. There is some associated brochantite (?) sprays and malachite staining too. Formerly in the Garry Kolodinsky collection of Victoria, British Columbia. Garry collected for decades and had a soft spot for azurites from the American west and Tsumeb (watch for more listings this year).  This is a very pretty specimen from a classic locality that is no longer producing.
