Several lead minerals adorn this specimen including wedge-shaped anglesite crystals and a base of galena. The main anglesite is sharp, with no damage, and with closer inspection reveals that it is a cluster of three crystals growing in the same direction (total length is 4 cm). I really like the striations on this main crystal group but it is very difficult to capture in photography. Note the tiny pyrite crystals embedded in the anglesite. A smaller, paper-thin anglesite rests in a bed of micro-calcite crystals at right-angle to the larger anglesite grouping. Along with the galena, sphalerite is also mixed in with the matrix and shows a few crystal faces too. This specimen deserves a better photographer than me! Ex Garry Kolodinsky collection. From Toussit, Morocco. Dimensions: 4 cm x 6 cm
